Information for Group Organizers
You may need to raise funds to help your group pay for stamps and postcards. We provide materials to you at cost. and at a very reasonable rate as we order them in volume
However, there isn't a volume discount available for postcard stamps so the stamp cost is by far the most significant portion of the overall material cost.
To identify your fundraising goals, you will need to estimate the total number of postcards you plan to complete. Typically, each person can complete 20-30 postcards in an hour. Each stamp is 35 cents. Based on that, you can estimate how much money you'll need to raise.
There are a few ways you can raise money for your group!
We provide a donation jar label in the postcard event starter kits. During in-person postcard events, you can pass around the donation jar and collect donations. Please - only meet in-person when it's safe to do so.
You can collect donations online using our fundraising platform. Create your own mini-fundraiser by clicking on the heart symbol next to "Help fundraise for this event..." Set a goal. Tell us when you're done. We will be able to see how much you have raised and allocate the stamps for your group.
When you need help, please don't be afraid to ask!
If you are not able to raise enough funds, please email the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org:
The name of your postcard group.
The funding gap (in the number of stamps you still need). You will not receive more stamps than the total number of postcards your group members have purchased.
